About Bàn Cờ Khuya
Bàn Cờ Khuya began on a Tuesday night, after the house had gone quiet. I opened a game site for a few minutes before bed, clicked the first board, and watched a twenty-second advert before I could see it. By the time the board appeared I no longer wanted to play. This site is built for exactly that moment.
Each section here is a kind of problem rather than a genre. A Board Alone only accepts layouts already set out, with no opponent. Three in a Row only accepts boards that stand still, without a timer bar and without selling extra turns. Anything that needs reflexes, a network, or a fifteen-second tutorial at the door simply does not appear.
I also do not pretend these boards are deep. They are not, and that is the point: a table with an ending can be put down, and an evening with an ending can be opened again tomorrow. The difficulty here is enough to hold you for fifteen minutes, not enough to take the whole night.
No account, no purchases, no profile on a server. Open a tab, play one board, close the tab. That is the entire design, and I intend to keep it there.
